Department of Cardiac Anaesthesia at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children is looking for a full time Consultant in Paediatric Cardiac anaesthesia and intensive care. Qualification- Post doctoral fellowship (Cardiac anaesthesia) or Post MD anaesthesia with 0-3 years of experience in cardiac anaesthesia. Salary Commensurate with experience and is negotiable. General Responsibilities of the Consultant in Department of Paediatric Cardiac Anesthesia
  1. Paediatric cardiac anesthetist & intensivist care incharge will supervise entire functioning of Pediatric Cardiac Anesthetia & Paediatric Cardiac ICU
  2. He / she would be responsible for pre-operative care, surgical care, post-operative care of the patient
  3. He / She would be responsible to liaise with cardiology, surgeon and NICU/PICU teams for shared care of all cardiac patients.
  4. He / She would be responsible for providing support if needed for paediatric cardiac camps and liaising with organisations who fund paediatric cardiac surgery.
  5. He / She would over a period of one – two years try to make the department of cardiac surgery self sustaining and arrange to have corpus / exigency for emergency funds.
  6. To take additional responsibilities if need be as and when given by management to supervise ethics, infection control committee, workers welfare committee etc.
  7. To liaise with blood banks, infection control committee for best care of cardiac patients.
  8. To take responsibility to coordinate with cardiologists & cardiac surgeons team to start teaching unit, accreditatied to university / national organisations
  9. To take responsibility to start research activities, encourging the team members for the same.
  10. To liaise with management periodically and keep them updated about status of the department.
