Fellowship in BMT
Qualifications: MBBS, MD (Paediatrics), or DNB (Paediatrics) or FNB (Haematology-oncology)
Desirable but not essential- Paediatric Haematology Oncology fellowship
Experience:
The applicant must have relevant clinical paediatrics and/or haematology/oncology/immunology training. The successful applicant will be working closely with bone marrow transplant consultants and BMT nursing team leaders. Additionally, fellows will receive support from experienced BMT nursing team leaders during out-of-hours responsibilities.
The job is suitable for a paediatrician wishing to learn supportive care of sick paediatric patients, or a paediatrician wishing to pursue a career in haematology-oncology or immunology, as well as those who wish to learn treatment of high-risk haematolymphoid cancer and complex immunological disorders. Transplants are performed for immunodeficiencies, malignant haematology, non-malignant haematology, and metabolic disorders. There will be a scope to work on transplant-related projects and publish.
